About the Role
Mount Carmel Edmonton is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping & Catering Assistant to help maintain a serene, spotless, and welcoming sanctuary for our guests. Our retreat centre hosts quiet retreats, clergy, priests, and community groups. This flexible role combines light custodial duties with casual catering support while upholding the peaceful and confidential atmosphere of our facility.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Accommodations: Clean and prepare guest rooms, change linens, make beds to standard, and restock supplies and toiletries.
Facility Upkeep: Maintain clean common areas, hallways, chapel spaces, and restrooms through regular dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
Catering Support: Assist with meal setup, food service, and dining room cleanup during retreats and events.
Privacy & Discretion: Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the privacy, quietude, and dignity of all retreat guests, clergy, and visiting groups at all times.
What We’re Looking For
High level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for guest privacy in a peaceful retreat environment.
Experience in hotel, custodial, or residential housekeeping preferred (willing to train motivated candidates)
Strong time-management skills with the ability to work independently or alongside a team.A warm, respectful, and service-oriented demeanor.
