Fr. Vincent Dsouza

Fr. Vincent D’souza hails from Gangolli, Kundapur in Karnataka, India, and is the fifth son in his
family. He joined the Discalced Carmelite Order in 1985 after completing grade ten, making his
simple religious profession in 1989. Fr. Vincent earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mysore
University and a Bachelor of Philosophy from Pushpashrama, Mysore Carmelite Seminary,
followed by four years of theological studies at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Mangalore. He was
ordained a priest on April 23, 1997.
Following ordination, Fr. Vincent served at Tapovana, Kushalnagar, and was later Associate
Pastor at Holy Family Church, Londa, Belgaum, where he also completed a Master of Arts in
Sociology from Dharwad University. On September 4, 2001, he was appointed Assistant Pastor
in Bahrain for nine years. Returning to India in 2010, he served as Parish Priest at St. Antony’s
Church, Koteshwar, Udupi for seven years. In 2017, Fr. Vincent moved to Canada, ministering at
Edmund’s Church, BC, then at Hagersville St. Mary and St. Ann Parish, Diocese of St.
Catharines until July 2023. He now serves as Superior at Little Flower Monastery, Carmel Hill,
British Columbia.
